Notes
ArX was right on that I enjoy his ASMR1 style in general; where other streamers have high-energy constant talk streams, like Ml72 or, loudest I’ve experienced, Nolan3, or they have lots of bells and whistles ornamenting their stream4. This video was a portion of ArX sometimes silent streams, where he lets his gameplay speak for itself.
The game is on Gibraltar5 and I particularly admire ArX way of opening on the map, immediately fading out the door and hurling a damage orb down the hallway where people are most often waiting (at least, at high-ranks), and not attempting to stay in the firing range but instead falling down to the cart. In many cases this is a guaranteed fully-spent damage orb.
Footnotes
1 ASMR, technically “Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response” has a formal description at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ASMR. The common idea is that it is a calming or soothing style of content as opposed to content style meant to be stimulating, jarring, or exciting.
2 mL7 is a legendary former #1 ranked support player who is one of the game’s biggest streamers on Twitch. He can be found at https://www.twitch.tv/ml7support. He has intermittent meetups with ArX, which are always fun to watch. mL7 also has some good YouTube content at https://piped.simpleprivacy.fr/channel/UCejVlAl2kUwBgSHtQeBoKhQ , https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCejVlAl2kUwBgSHtQeBoKhQ
3 Nolan doesn’t record his play on YouTube that I know of, but can be found on Twitch occasionally. He is at https://www.twitch.tv/nolancoronav.
4 I have a high appreciation for Keesol, whose Duos with ArX are fantastic and whose journey to GM Mercy OTP has been great to observe. Because of her I use Mercy as my backup when I get Moira-Jacked. But I most like watching her through the low-distraction ArX duo feeds, where they have both great gameplay synergy and fun banter back-and-forth. Her own Twitch feed is at https://www.twitch.tv/keesool and may well be more to your taste, and is definitely worth checking out.
5 Watchpoint: Gibraltar was an OverWatch 1 map and there was quite the happiness when it came back to OW2. https://overwatch.fandom.com/wiki/Watchpoint:_Gibraltar
